What each one gains.

Your child:

  • A timed round in a real hall, their level on the 33 levels, and a chance at the podium.

Your school:

  • Run it for your students, and see how they do in each class band.

The organiser:

  • Your city's arithmetic championship, under your name, run in one day.

Conducted with MathKidoo by BrainBoot Innovations and the organiser who runs it. The organiser decides the rounds, and the awards and prizes.

Timed rounds of sums, class band by band.

  1. Children are grouped in class bands, two classes to a band.
  2. Each round is timed. One sum at a time, with a calm clock.
  3. If children tie at the top, a short extra round decides it.

What we have proved, and what we haven't.

The method is built on established learning science, and we can show you the paper. What we have not done is run the controlled trial that would let us say it beats chanting. That trial is designed and it is next. Until it reports, we will not claim it — and you should be wary of anyone who does.
