Help your child stop counting on fingers.

The early signs are at home: fingers for simple sums, tables forgotten, time running out in exams. A gap found at eight is a plan.

Know where your child stands today, and the step that is missing.

What arithmetic means here

Arithmetic here is whole numbers: plus, minus, times and share. No decimals, no fractions, no algebra.

Usually, one earlier step is missing.

  1. A child can know the method and still take long over the sums inside it.
  2. Often the reason is one earlier step that never became sure.
  3. Take 2300 − 340. It needs one hundred opened into ten tens.
  4. MathKidoo finds that step and fills it first. Then the sum moves on.

2300 − 340 = 1960

Find where your child begins.

  1. Class only says where to begin looking.
  2. No marks, no total, nothing to pass.
  3. At the end you see what is sure, what to look at again, and the one level to start on.

Ten minutes, then stop.

  1. Ten-minute sittings at home. The daily limit is 20 minutes; you can set it from 10 to 30. No ads, no chat.
  2. Then the app says: “That is all for today. See you tomorrow!”

Who it is for, and who it is not.

A good fit if your child:

  • counts on fingers for sums
  • learns a table, then loses it
  • takes long over homework sums
  • is in Class 1 to Class 7

Not the right tool if you want:

  • decimals, fractions or algebra
  • coaching for Class 8 and above
  • marks, rankings or a pass and fail

Watch your child's tree grow.

  1. Open the Growth Tree any evening.
  2. See what is sure, which step is missing, and what is still to climb.
  3. Nothing here compares your child with another child.

The Growth Tree

  • Sure
  • Missing step
  • Still to climb

Your child races only their own time.

  1. Nobody else's time is ever shown.

What we have proved, and what we haven't.

The method is built on established learning science, and we can show you the paper. What we have not done is run the controlled trial that would let us say it beats chanting. That trial is designed and it is next. Until it reports, we will not claim it — and you should be wary of anyone who does.
