Can say 7 × 8 and still not know it? That is a missing step.

The train of 7each column starts 3 rows higher

These show patterns to look at. We teach Tables 1 to 10.

What your child gets

  • Your child sees each table as a picture before saying it.

Built on seeing a quantity before naming it.

  • A table learned today comes back tomorrow, from memory.

    Built on remembering and spacing.

  • Learned tables are mixed, so 7 × 8 is known out of order.

    Built on mixed practice.

  • Speed comes last. A slip replays slowly, with no red and no buzzer.

Built on timed practice after understanding.

  • In practice, no child races another.

  • You see which tables your child knows. The daily limit is 20 minutes; you can set it from 10 to 30.

What we have proved, and what we haven't.

The method is built on established learning science, and we can show you the paper. What we have not done is run the controlled trial that would let us say it beats chanting. That trial is designed and it is next. Until it reports, we will not claim it — and you should be wary of anyone who does.
